This new archipelago in the Markermeer was developed by Natuurmonumenten as part of a large-scale nature restoration project aimed at improving both the water quality and biodiversity in the Markermeer. During your visit, you will see how new nature literally emerges before your eyes: wide sandbanks, reed beds, dunes, marshes, and open water alternate. You walk on wooden walkways, climb observation towers, and spot numerous bird species such as spoonbills, waders, and terns. The ferry operates year-round at fixed times:
April to October: Departure at 10:00 AM, return at 2:00 PM or departure at 1:00 PM, return at 5:00 PM.
