Sustainability at Van der Valk Hotel Lelystad

Sustainability

Green Key

Green Key is the international seal of approval for sustainable businesses in the recreation and leisure sector and for the business market. The label sets requirements in the areas of environment and nature. We are almost in possession of this hallmark. We are going for (the Green Key seal of approval) GOLD!

Another important aspect of sustainability at Van der Valk Hotel Lelystad is encouraging environmentally friendly transportation. Our hotel offers several charging points for electric cars. By doing so, the hotel encourages guests and employees to opt for more sustainable transportation.

Sustainability

Housekeeping

We offer our guests the opportunity to choose “green” as well. Here, for example, we encourage guests staying more than one night to skip interim room cleaning. If guests stay two or more nights, they can also choose to reuse towels. This way we save water and energy.

One of the key steps Van der Valk Hotel Lelystad has taken to be sustainable is investing in energy efficiency. The hotel has implemented advanced systems to save energy, such as LED lighting, smart thermostats and solar panels on the roof. These measures help reduce the hotel's carbon footprint.
